The DM5E family is the latest generation of portable corrosion monitoring thickness gauges form GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies. It offers significant improvement in performance over previous corrosion thickness gauges in terms of better thickness measurement stability and repeatability at normal and elevated temperatures. This new pocket-sized ultrasonic thickness gauge offers high performance in a small, lightweight, ergonomic package. Its biggest advantage is its measuring range for thin thicknesses of 0.15 to 20mm (steel plates). The keypad operator interface is easy to use and has a mode selection key, a calibration key, three function arrow keys to activate and set the functions and navigate the menu plus a memorize key and the transfer of measurements. A steel probe calibration gauge is integrated into the front panel and the display resolution can be switched from 0.001 to 0.1mm. Displays key statistics

In addition to the material thickness measurement, the new Elcometer 204 displays key statistical values required to assess the overall material thickness; number of readings (n), the average material thickness (x), the lowest (Lo) and highest (Hi) material thickness, the standard deviation (σ) and the coefficient of variation (CV%).

Zero Point calibration for accuracy

The new, easy to use, Elcometer 204 has zero point calibration, ensuring accurate thickness measurements on steel surfaces.
